A few paintings from the book The Chiru of High Tibet, written by Jacqueline Briggs Martin, illustrated by Linda S. Wingerter. Click on a picture to see it larger.
LInda! This work is amazing - the colors and the light are so lovely....and the Buddhist-like patterns are perfect! (By "BLP" I mean the way the designs around the chiru look like Buddhist sand paintings, are they called mandalas?) I can't wait to hold a copy in my hands! Are any of the original paintings for sale? Or are you going to make prints of any and sell them?
Hey Libby! How did ya find this so quick?! Thanks so much. I don't have the originals back yet, I have to figure out prints again, it's been a long time.
I'm a contemplative visual and performing artist, keenly interested in chance connections and found objects; currently conducting a life experiment in following synchronicity. I gravitate towards anything that cultivates coincidence, and any place or event that is a crossroads of random people. I perform with The Stringpullers Puppet Company under the name Polly Sonic.
